Matt and Tom contacted me at the end of 2023 looking for a photographer for their informal wedding at Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire as they were looking for someone with a candid and relaxed style to capture their day.
Dodmoor House is a beautiful family-run barn which is over 400 years old and offers lots of rustic scenery perfect for wedding photography. A break from the tradition, we began the photography with couples portraits before the ceremony as we wanted to make the most of the light and Matt & Tom wanted to spend some time together having their couples photos before their guests arrived and the celebrations began. The weather on the day was drizzly but I had brought some clear umbrellas with me and, despite getting a bit wet Matt and Tom were happy to get their feet wet for some photos in the grounds.
The ceremony took place in the Courtyard Barn with the main reception in the Catesby Barn opposite. Matt and Tom opted not to have a formal sit down meal but instead treated their guests with toasties from the Toastie Shack provided by Dodmoor House.
After rounding off the speaches there was a great surprise for the guests by way of a singing waiter courtesy of Aston at Singing Surprise who put on a great show! The party carried on well into the night with Aston doubling up as DJ getting everyone on the dancefloor.
The day was one of love and pride and I was privilged to be a part of it. Here is a small selection of their day!
